Like to share my recent experience with you on my encounter with Nokia Careline (customer service).

My N95 died (RIP).... and I bought a 5800XM. I tried to install my backup data from the N95 SD card to the 5800XM but it cannot read the backup.arc inside the backup folder. Wrote to Nokia ask about updating from the N95 SD card and was told that the 5800XM is capable of reading the data from the N95 SD card. They even suggest that in the event the 5800XM cannot read the data I may have a defective card. I reload the Card into another N95 and it restore without any problem.

:fire: I wrote back to Nokia and this time 'after consulting with their Technical team' the N95 backup data is not compatible with the 5800XM due to the difference in O/S version. There is no suggestion on how to resolve my problem. I wrote back again asking them 'How can I transfer my data from the N95 to the 5800XM' only then they told me to upload the data from the N95 to PC Suite and using the backup data from PC Suite to update the 5800XM. The level professionalism shown by this company..... is truly disappointing. :finga:

My biggest surprise is their newer model phone does not have backward compatibility.... This really Sucks! Time to look at Blackberries...

Bro Moey, welcome to the world of corporate bureaucracy ... I also have same experience with HP Notebook service department. Got a problem connecting this notebook to my HP printer. Called help line and got connected to a help line somewhere in India for Notebook and Philippines for printer. Each department pointed to the other for help as they say not their problem .... :ko: :ko: :ko: Both product HP but different service group and most of time giving you "script" questions - answers .... Going deeper into technicalities and they get lost ....

That's why I bought a Dell Studio XPS16 with full service/warranty coverage.... 2 weeks later I poured 1/2 can of Beer onto the Keyboard! Called Dell service and they have a guy in my office 2 days later to change my Keyboard, Arm rest/Touch pad, Motherboard, CPU heat sink assembly and Front display LED board with absolutely no question asked! Two hours later it was up and running.... This is service at its best.... good work Dell Computer.

Yes, iPhone... will be good too.

p/s... beer in keyboard stinks... don't try it at home... and don't ask me why I offer it beer....

 Is it?.... Did you get the cover anything and everything 3 years package?

But,... seriously they do have service contractors in Sg to give the same level of support. My friends in KL have no problem with service too. I even spec Dell computer as the preferred PC when selling our equipment.... cheers!

Last December walking past the Nokia Service Centre in Wheelock Place, Orchard Rd, the crowd inside was really huge. Scary...

I don't think most of them inside looked like anything close to being in a party mood.
