hi all,

i posted earlier about having cracked voice problems and recalibration problem with my dad's 1460 and my 255W...i took it back to the distributor and they found that most of the files inside the pnds have enlarged their sizes...files were corrupted. they have managed to help me rectify the problem.

i think the corrupted files were caused by my own pc being infected by a malware that got pass the firewall installed in my pc. my only problem now is "disinfecting" my pc and all removable drives and storage devices. :ko:

both pnds working well....

I tried downgrading to an older firmware, but it doesn't work. Any ideas how to go about doing it?

Question: Why does my nuvi 1200, 1300, 1400, series devices reboot or shutdown while navigating an active route?

Answer:
Please note that if your nuvi is experiencing any of the following symptoms, a software update was released in order to help prevent these issues from occurring:

* Unit shuts down while navigating an active route
* Unit reboots while navigating an active route, powers back on, however reboots again once you attempt to View Map on the device

In order to update your nuvi please utilize Garmin's Webupdater program which will update your unit to the latest available software. If your unit continues to experience a rebooting issue please contact Garmin Customer Support for further assistance.

Oh thank you!

But I cannot see stop button in my 1460? :-?
Any way to stop it without going back to speedometer>hold 5 sec>Diagnostic Logging>Stop Recording?
Any short cut bro?

HI Bro Sakura,

Aiya...Like that ar?? :-k
...waiting for next version, hopefully stop button reappears. :prayer:

GOOD NEWS!

STOP button reappears in v2.70!

But there are a new page appears after you click START RECORDING:
Select Data to Log

Image

What is the best log type should I use? :-k

I tried both of them:

Here, GPX type:

Image

The good thing I can copy GPX file created in \LOG\GPX folder directly without extracting using special program such as wNutrak. In this v2.70 it creates different folder compared to v2.50. GPX, bin and other folders I think not available in v2.50.

Image

Then convert it to GDB file using GPSBabel for better reading including EXACTLY TIME OF TRACKING in MapSource.
It also shows ELEVATION (not available in v2.50).

Image

And then I tried BIN type:

Image

Unfortunately I cannot extract data by using current version of wNutrak (v0.18), most probably because of the changes of folders in \LOG. As you can see below, some files now located into new folder. Hopefully new version of wNutrak will encounter this situation.

Image

In general, I'm happy with this v2.70. =D>

Hopefully our sifus can guide us the best way to use the new feature; Select Data to Log. :prayer:

Nuvi 1460 'hangs' during POI search

Postby mechanic_guna » Sun Oct 24, 2010 2:03 pm

Has anyone noticed this? When you press "Where to" ---> "Points of interest" ---> "Spell Name" ---> "Enter Name" and when you have found your destination and press "Go" it 'hangs" for a long time before it starts to calculate the route. Is this a known problem? The software is now version 2.7. My former Nuvi265 did not have this kind of problem. Has anyone else encountered this with their Nuvi 1460 SG/My set?
Many thanks.
