Yes, the CIQ is a flop in my opinion.

Mistake (1): counter is too near the entrance of each zone. If you have one inconsiderate driver who decides to queue up at the first counter, no vehicle can passby him to proceed to the other counters

Mistake (2): the lanes between the counters are too narrow. I didn't get to measure the width, but it's just nice for my ride (compact SUV). By my judgement, the lanes are a few inches narrower than those at Singapore customs.

Mistake (3): after tapping your Touch n' Go and the barricade opens, you have a serious blind spot as the counters block your right view almost totally. I've resorted to turning on my headlights in hope that on coming vehicles will notice that I'm inching out.

Mistake (4): speed bumps are ridiculously high at 4 inches (again this is my judgement), and they are angular METAL not curved RUBBER like those at Singapore customs. Low-profile vehicles: good luck!

Mistake (5): once out of the CIQ, chances are you are heading toward Jalan Wong Ah Fook or Pelangi/Tebrau/Sentosa. Here's the catch - all the vehicles must keep left and squeeze into the 2-lane road (bikes, cars, buses AND lorries) that has a traffic light.

Of cos, (5) is outside CIQ hence someone else has to be blamed for the hindsight...

I refer to MFM ver 1.26:-
There is an error in the Junction of Taman Tasek to the main road (Highway 1) in JB. Please see attachment.
One should be able to turn right to go down to JB town.

Please note that owing to the new CIQ, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak is no more connected to Causeway(S).

Cheers.
