Please help!

My Nuvi can detect jpg but cannot detect map file (.img) in my sd card.
I tried to put 2-3 map in sd card but no one of them listed in map info.
At first I thought it cannot detect the card, but in picture viewer I can see all jpg loaded in that card.
:ko:

Update:
Try using different card, regenerate new map, 1 map, 2 maps, also give same result.

Where did you put the map file ?

What map file did you put ?

It must be Garmin format and should reside in SD card/map directory.

Yes the files in Garmin format.
All files can be seen in map info before. But suddenly my unit cannot detect it anymore. Check in PC, yes the files still in there. Tried many way as I said before but still fail.

howdee...

i just got meself a 1460 yesterday at SITEX; the software version showed that it is using version 2.80 (was told its recently released). anyway, need some help with the new toy:

1) the unit from navicom came with 3 sets of maps; MSM NT, City Navigator NT and CN SEA NT (freebie). if i copy MFM map into the mSD card x:\garmin\map folder and name it MFM_101122, i'll have 4 sets of maps in total. should i only check MFM and uncheck the other 3? can i also check the SEA map set so that i can have Thailand maps running as well?

2) are POIs still disabled during navigation on the 1460?

thank you in advance

hi jo. i tried renaming the mfm map to how u name it and also putting it in the folder. i tried putting it in x:\Garmin and x:\Garmin\Map but none of them work. but i still couldn't see 4 sets of maps. and i notice there's a *.unl file in the original freebie mSD. apparently it's a unlock code for some maps. any idea on this? totally newbie here in mfm. mine is the same version as yours. bought at sitex. but i would prefer to use the mfm map compare to the built-in map. thanks!

I think it should be x:\Map and not x:\Garmin\Map

thanks for the help. managed to get the map working. but the strangest is it can only be read on the built-in memory. it doesn't read from the mSD. and i dont know whether is it the map or my GPS. the speed warning sign comes on and off. it doesn't stay there. or is it because of the map?

I'm running it off the SD.. put in as SDHC:\Garmin\Map\gmasupp.img (let me check again)
Did it manually by copying, not using MFM installer.

Running 2.70

no issues
