Most of the taman fellows dont bother to take note who drive pass their house. But once in kampung, all the residents start staring at you and put a fierce looking face to you.

I was worried and afraid they will stop me and ask what was i intended to. And kampung roads normally end up with a dead end or end up into a kampung house.

Actually kampung folks are friendlier than folks in tamans... Once they started looking at you, you just put up your "say hi" hand sign a smile a little bit, they will just reply you with a smile. Their smiles makes your fears go away and encourage you to continue tracking with courage. I put up a BIG smile when I have to make a U-turn in their lawn. They would just thought you were taking a wrong road.

Doraemon always have big smile, he don't have small smile.... not believe see avatar

kalau balik takde lah menganggur/frust/letih/tension... :champ:

tapi bro king tuah memang hebat,,, masih lagi kuat semangat..
ada plan nak gi tracking balik ker? O:)

Just want to share. Also happened to me once. when I was tracking this viewtopic.php?p=105146#p105146.

I took my brother's EX5 and put my fully charged PND in my pocket (at that time my PND was my trusty SE X1 installed with GMXT and Racechrono) and began my journey. So I thought, the most it'll take me about 1 hour, while enjoying the beautiful kampung scenery. Amazingly, half way, it began to rain like mad. I had to stop at a wakaf for 3 hours. With nothing else to do, I played games on SE until the battery went kaput. And cannot continue tracking anymore. ](*,)

p/s: I completed the track though... 2 months later... with a kancil this time viewtopic.php?p=114443#p114443

Some of us might be asking or wondering what is the cost of tracking. I've collected a 2 months and 13 days statistics. This is a rough estimate (hobby & non-hobby fuel cost):
Total running costs: RM 1,414.02
Running cost/day: RM 19.11
Running cost/km: RM 0.143
Distance/day: 134 km
Total distance: 9,920 km

Note: Not inclusive Hari Raya/Merdeka tracking activities
Based on RON 95 @ RM1.90/l

My salute to you, Bro Tuah, for your dedication in tracking all over Malaysia. You calculated the cost - but not the time spent, the questioning stares from your wife, the lonely areas where the sound of the wind is your only companion and the hairs on your neck stood on ends, the dead ends in the kampungs and tamans, the stares of the people when you circle round and round at an area, the danger of having your car stuck in a longkang, etc, etc. All these are part and parcel of the tracking efforts which are not measurable but a great sacrifice on your part, nonetheless.

Bro Tuah, drive another 2800km or so, and you would have driven enough km to circumnavigate the earth one time.
