Garmin Nuvi 23xx Series

Bro jxkhoo2003, what do you mean MFM does not work on your set with normal installation ? You have to provide more description as we are not mind readers.

Let me guess as the 2xxx series is basically similar firmware with 37xx series. The roads do not display correctly in full?

If so then during installation of MFM, select remove polygons and the map should be fine.

Hey thanks for replying on the post and sorry for the late reply, have been busy with project last few days.

I got this GPS from US, it is loaded with north America map by default. Hence, i am doing a MFM installation to the device with mfm-Garmin-110307 version. I double click the installation, then just next all the way, select "custom Polygon & POIs" (For uploading to Nuvis/Streetpilots/MobileXT) --> install it. Next, I select all map options - "exclude colored polygons(less laggy", "include miscellaneous business POI", "include road POI", "include chinese language POI", and "enable custom icon display for Nuvi 765,1460, etc". Then I put it into the folder E:\Garmin.

Then, I install MFM-CPOIv208.exe, select "other Garmin model" which supports MP3 POI into the GPS as well.

However, the GPS only shows the major road. No small paths at all. It only shows the major city of Malaysia.
When I go to "setting" --> "mymaps", I only see US map - CN North America NT (2011.31 ALL, trafficTrends North America 3.75)

Question
1. Is the Malaysia map working properly for my GPS model?
2. How to remove the US map completely from my GPS, to ensure i am only reading Malaysia map? I check the extension format, is very different from nuvi2x5 series. And the way they read map file is not in .img format.

Thanks in advance for your help if some experts can show me what exactly need to be done to make it work for my GPS series (LMT2360), since you are saying the firmware is similar to 3xxx series.

Wrong folder, the map file should be put in SD card\Map folder. Also the mapfile gmapsupp.img should be rename to any file name of your choice

It is NOT recommended that you use MainMemory\map as any error can brick your Nuvi.

MainMenu-Tools-Settings-myMaps-uncheck whatever maps you want to deactivate.

You are right. It is a mistake to put the map into the main memory. Luckily my GPS is not crashed because of this. I bought a new micro sd card and installed with the current MFM and POI into the sd card.
It works completely fine!

Right now I am able to see all the roads in Malaysia, including the POI.
