Postby cyberian » Thu Sep 08, 2011 9:55 pm

Hi,

Anyone know what's the amount of grocery a Singaporean can buy? I could not find any info on the web or Johor Custom website.

Cooking Oil maximum is 5KG
Sugar?
Salt?
Rice?
Flour?
Baby infant Milk?
Milk Powder?

Any other restriction?

I remember reading something about this sometime back in the newspaper. I think it mentioned that anything item on the restricted list or is subsidized by the Government cannot be taken out or exported. I may be wrong, maybe you can check with the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operative and Consumerism.

I found this on their site - a list of control items:-

List of Controlled Goods

Goods which have been declared as controlled goods under Control of Supplies Act 1961 and goods which have been controlled its supplies.

1. Sugar

2. Milk including condensed milk, powdered or dried milk and Evaporated milk

3. Salt

5. Wheat Flour

6. Cooking Oil

7. Fertilizers

8. Insecticides

9. Formic acid or any other acid used for coagulating latex

10. Mild Steel Round Bar

11. Kerosene

12. Prepared or preserved fish in airtight containers

13. Ice Of All Types ( State of Sabah Only)

14. Padi ( State of Sabah Only)

15. Petrol Motor Spirit and Motor Gasoline of All Grades

16. Diesel Fuel

17. Liquified Petroleum Gas

18. Bread of All Types

19. Fuel Oil

20. Chicken
