Nuvi 3560 will not start up
Hi, my 3560 will not start up anymore. When the power is pressed, the screen will start showing the Garmin logo, brightens further and then turns off by itself. It is the same every time. Even after doing a hard reset by pressing the bottom right of the screen while powering on, the same happens. Any idea how should I go about to solve the problem? Thought of getting a new Nuvi, but it seemed there are no new interesting models available. Even Garmin does not seem to be focus on Nuvi much. The only glass screen model is one left over from last year. Seemed like the market for car gps is saturated.

Sad to hear of your predicaments.
Have you tried to turn it on with the unit powered by a USB cable or charge? You may have a flat battery.
Hope this helps.... Cheers!

Re: Nuvi 3560 will not start up
Can you plug into mains and charge the battery for several hours and see it this works ?
Re: Nuvi 3560 will not start up
Will try again.
Re: Nuvi 3560 will not start up
Anyone knows how to unbrick a Nuvi? I think I might have bricked my Nuvi when I updated my maps recently. Silverbeauty mentioned in the Nuvi 2465 thread that, if maps are not loaded properly in the internal memory, the unit may get bricked. I think my unit is probably suffering from that. Any help?

You won't be alone for long. The new map update using a Launcher will see more of such problem.
Bloody Stupid Garmin.... I have long avoided loading maps directly into the main unit memory... now it is back to Square One...

No problem to me, I'm using Garmin 2465, it's smooth and steady.
Thanks to Garmin with new launcher.

Re: Nuvi 3560 will not start up
I have updated the latest maps to my 2575R using Garmin's Launcher while keeping my fingers crossed - so far so good.
We have been advocating members to use mSD Card to store downloaded maps and now Garmin has to come out with this procedure.
However, Garmin did mention that should we encounter any problem, there is a number to call - dunno whether it's a Singapore number or US...
Below is the extract:
" 4. Any failure, please dial Garmin at +886 2 26429199 ext2 or email Garmin. You may also contact Garmin
authorised dealer for product support."
