Nokia 5800 new firmware is out !!! V40.0.005 *new*

Nokia released V30.0.011 firmware via FOTA for 5800XM APAC.
Notable changes:

1. New Chinese Dictionary Application icon (Red Icon with chinese word "Zhong" on it). But the application is unusable. It shows "Dictionary word information missing. Install word database." User needs to install word database manually.

2. Music Player – Tap on the Album Art brings up the Volume Control.

3. Switch between pages are smoother than previous version V21.

4. Two touch buttons (number pad & contact pad) looks brighter than V21.

5. New icon design for My Nokia icon under Application Menu

6. New email widget on home screen (appear on shortcuts bar mode).


Firmware update can be done via FOTA by pressing *#0000# > Options > Check for updates.

i think maybe this can move to the 5800XM thread to benefit those people didnt get into this section

I also did the update. Looks abit more responsive but not much difference. I think mostly just bug fixes, which is great.

I was hoping for kinetic scrolling and home screen like the new Xpressmusic (duno which model). :(

Just download the latest map, and all the POI is already in the map.
