In days gone by, one of the key attractions of Ipoh in the evening was to walk along the row of stalls selling "leong char" (chinese herbal tea) where pretty wawas would merchandise and sell these herbal tea. Of course they did a roaring business. Not dissimilar to the sexy girls in Taipei that peddles "pinang" (betal nut) to the truck drivers. Quite a sight; many are traffic stoppers too.

Ahh...like those tiger girl selling beer, this one selling leong char.... never get drunk...

Yah, the leong char is also dark and bitter - looks exactly like our bottled ore kow, but no golden foam and no kick either!

Ahh.. about once per weak - when the body feels weak! They sold them in bowls, yes bowls. I forgot to mention that in addition to the dark leong char (bitter), they also have a light golden version (sweet). Those SYT (sweet young things) push sales a lot and frequently I end up taking one bowl of each type. They even serve a mix of the two - dark and light. Probably that's how I learnt to mix ore kow with tiger...quite a concoction!

Mmm...you mean when you feel heaty for too much oily/fried stuffs......

What i normally did was a can of cold Qingtao beer plus 2 panadol extra(if the heat is really boiling), then go to sleep.
