Hi Bro antyong,

Tried the following (all from MFM generator):

1) MFM v1.68
2) MFM v1.72
3) MFM Lite v1.73
4) MFM 090914
i) Full customization
a) Exclude colored polygons
b) Include colored polygons
ii) Custom polygon & POI
a) Exclude colored polygons
b) Include colored polygons

All with no success. :ko: :frus: :fire:

Just to let you all know, the custom POI alert works for the WAV version. I initially installed the MP3 version and only got the "dong-dong" alert tone.

To be honest, since I can't install MFM map yet, I installed the traffic light cam and speed trap POI from MSM. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it better to install the custom POI with the same map i.e. MFM custom POI to be used with MFM map and vice versa? Or the POI locations should be accurate for any map used?

Yes, installing custom POIs from MSM is recommended if you are using MSM map.

Thanks. Hopefully one of our senior mappers will be able to get hold of Nuvi 1460 to test.

I've read about someone using Nuvi 1490T resolving, I think, this problem....

You guys might want to try it.....

1. Need to create a /Map directory in the unit internal memory.
2. Put the map and unl into this folder.

Please back up your unit first before trying...

Please try at your own risk......

Thanks for the info. Another question, if let's say both maps work in the 1460, can I copy both custom POIs for MFM and MSM or would there be an overlap?

Nuvi 1460 firmware when?

Postby fooklee » Fri Oct 02, 2009 8:37 am

Dear bros.
I have been holding the Nuvi 1460 for a month. The device keeps auto rebooting while do a search or travelling from high way exiting to the minor road. ](*,) Have contacted Garmin.sg but up to today still no firmware release to fix the bugs. Anyone has any news from the wine yards? :fire:
