like;
MFM POI: West Malaysia
MFM POI: Singapore

Its because, using MapSource, map/maps can be selected to build GMAPSUPP.IMG
But with "MFM POI: West Malaysia & Singapore", the POI search results will be from both regions.
example, "wisma", will show up in johor and in Singapore, even when only 1 map is in used.

Since maps are in their own .img, shouldn't MFM POI be the same?

This will help reducing the search time. :prayer:

I beleive bro antyong can look into dividing the map into 3 parts, (thailand, West Mal + Sg, and East Mal + Brunei) and let the users to choose whether to install all three or just 2 of them.
E71 with Garmin XT, Nuvi 200w, PAPAGO! R5800 makes me ROCKs

Is it possible to have another option for choosing Peninsular Malaysia and/or East Malaysia. Some might want both, and some might not. Noticed the gmapsupp is getting larger and larger, thus it might make sense to reduce the size.

Yeah.. if possible, may be with the "custom" installation, user can have more selections down to individual state or may be divided by regions such as south, center, north for Peninsular Malaysia. thanks.

I think you misunderstand my point.
Currently there's already 2 POI
MFM POI West Malaysia + Singapore
MFM POI East Malaysia + Brunei

I was suggesting having POI separated per region.
like, MFM POI West Malaysia, MFM POI Singapore
or even MFM POI East Malaysia, MFM POI Brunei

So for those who needs only a certain map, that certain POI can be loaded
without other region appearing in the search results.

How about an IRC channel so we can all chat about things?

today when im look at my garmin when stopping by around some busy area, on the map it seems that it is flooded with a lot of POIs icons and words. i know we can change the settings in map to less or least. but yet i suddenly think that it would be awesome if there's an option inside mfm which enables us to filter or show certain categorie(s) of POIs only on the map. for example, if im someone who loves shopping and makan makan, i can use the option to show only food's poi and shopping mall's poi on the map when navigating. at the same time ur gps might refresh faster when navigating and you also can always see the pois that u are interested in. its just an suggestion. dont shoot me ya. what do you think?

i suggest developing nokia maps for nokia users or NDrive cos GMXT lags on all smart phones. the animation is so much smoother. not only that, the initial lock on nokia maps is also way faster than GMXT.

I kinda agree with the clutter issue; roads can sometimes be heavily covered by icons at places...
Umm, how about a map installer that allows the user to select and only install selected POI categories?
