What software is required to open up the .gdb file..? I used vista to open but unable to identify which software to open with. Pls advise. Thank you.

You would normally need Garmin Mapsource to open a gdb file. Otherwise, you could use GPSBabel to convert the gdb file to, say, Google Earth (keyhole) Markup Language, the view them in Google Earth (with .kml extension)
