Re: Our tracking stories

Hi,

Recently, I was cycling in a kampung area near my place. I went to a road which I had not explored previously. I went all the way in which is a dead end. There is a house with fence. There was no dog and I was surprised why was there no dog, being a Chinese house. I wanted to go slightly further but do not want any dog to chase after me so I turned back.

Upon turning back, I saw 3 dogs coming down the road and blocking my way back. 2 of the dogs were quite big, one being an alsation. I could not go further up as it is a dead-end. The dogs saw me and started barking. What to do except maybe to get bitten this time!

I got down from my bike and use it to block myself from the dogs. The dogs were fierce but do not attack me. Just barking and slightly aggressive. However, one of the big one which is black was a coward and went straight under the fence of the house. For the other 2 dogs barking at me, I slowly turn around them and eventually I managed to be at the location where I came from. I slowly retreat and, with enough distance between myself and the dogs, I quickly mounted my bike and ride as fast as I could. The alsation chased after me but I managed to escape and making sure I do not crash or else the dog would be upon me in an instance. Phew!!

just can’t understand these community, they have security guards patrolling the housing area but still let the dogs outside their house compound. Maybe they don’t trust their hired guards? :-?

simseair,

Dealing with dogs on as a cyclist is always an issue when tracking. I have faced more serious situation. Recommend you equip yourslef all the time. Most effective is mosquito spray - WD40 or a can of spray paint will be deadly but not necessary. After all, they too have a job to do,(ie they are dogs and are suppose to bark and bite), and I'm quite sure they only need to shown who to stay clear off! I normally use it in the last resort as peaceful method is always the best.

Track log with my cabok 135LC in some taman, then a dog bark and want to chase me.
The scared part is i cannot run anywhere because it is dead road. I must through and face the dog.
Prepare to do some stunt like mat rempit(superman) and then luckily the owner call the dog.fuhh..
Next tracking: Kampung Gagu, Cempedak, Titi.

I also use innnova to track. Innova's large size is bad when you have to pass lorries on single-lane kampung road with deep longkang on both side of the lane. A slip can easily cause the innova to topple over. Sometime I think I'm :nutz: to go tracking with the innova. But I love my innova because of its small turning radius which makes it easier to maneuver in difficult situations. It's tall clearance also useful to go offroad - just pray that it won't rain :peace:

Got bored one night and decided to track on Taman. At around 10.00 pm went tracking. To make sure I got a good track, I drove the same road over and over againt.

Then one police patrol car appeared and I was stopped. Apparently someone had call the police after seeing my car few time. Got a lot of explanation done before they "released" me.

That time, no sticker (MFM or MSM), so now I keep the sticker, just in case (easier to explain)

Bro,
Where can I get those MFM sticker ?

Sorry brother, MFM sticker is limited edition released during Ipoh Mega GG in August this year.
If you want, you will have to go through order list for those members who ordered multiple quantity and see if they have any balance.
