With the 5800, the GPS 'sensitivity' may not be as good as those Nuvi's, PDA phones with Sirf Star III GPS chipset, or with OneGPS (Qualcomm). Perhaps due to the poorer signal attained in the 5800, it affected the calculation.

I've noticed that with my Touch Diamond 2 (Qualcomm gps), when I am in my room, I can still manage to get a sat fix but noticed that my positioning in the map seems to jitter a bit, due to very weak GPS signals being received with me being indoors. Perhaps this weak signal which causes a problem with a sure and good positioning fix is affecting the calculation. Besides, try setting in the GMXT, TOOLS/SETTINGS/MAP/Show Location set to 'On Roads'.

Yap, I'm agree with u, weak gps signal will effect inaccurate of our position/location and time taken for calculating is more than before, also demand more power(battery) during the calculation @ seeking for gps signal.
