Thank you for the very fast reply, i forgot far too fast to tell you these I had done:
1) installed trip and waypoint manager and wedupdate.
2) installed mapsource v 6.15.7
3) installed MFM-Garmin-091026
4) west Malaysia topo map. MFM-SRTMWM 090918
5) East Malaysia topo map. Apparently I need to install a software called ezGMap to merge the above maps. How do I do it considering the above installation.

Thanks for the directions, I realised even simple step by step direction is complicated for me to follow, so I decided to kacau Aeco Tech since the unit is purchased from them. they have downloaded the maps for me and it's now fun time.

Just upgraded my Acer Aspire 3810T to Windows 7, downloaded with Mapsource v 6.15.7, now got problems.

Irrespective of which map I use, I zoom it in and out a couple of times, then the whole map disappears leaving only the grid lines with nothing else. I leave it to load hoping it is the file size that will show later but it is gone !

I change to other maps with that same results - nothing.....

Can any sifus please throw some light on this?? - if this has been covered, so sorry lah....
