MFM-Garmin 091228 feedback

no offence bro, i have the gmapsupp.img already in a Garmin folder but it aint working. noob question but to clear the air, with the download link for 091221, i already get a zip folder containing the img file. do i do a simple copy and paste of the image file or must i upload through some software?

i think i know your problem bro, actually the garmin program only read the file with the exact name "gmapsupp.img".
so the existing gmapsupp.img is the old map. rename that file to for example "gmapsuppbackup.img" and rename your new map file to exactly "gmapsupp.img". please remove the date in your new map file name.

montroy, check that you have downloaded or created the gmapsupp.img file correctly as per the instructions. The 091221 filesize is 74,440 kB for my version.

Next, since you are using Nuvi 1350, I understand from Nuvi 1350/1460 users that apart from Garmin folder, you can put in I:\Map or [Storage Card]:\Map folder. Not sub-folder under Garmin folder. Try it.

Then go to MainMenu - TOOLS - SETTINGS - MAP - MAP INFO to check if your map is there.

Tried to look for MFM-Garmin 091221, but not able to download, the web site is looping, guess got to wait till next monday for 2010 version, have to stick to 091228.

I have using this version to guide me from Muar(Johor) to Nilai , it won't guide me to Nilai using Highway, and no problem with 1221 version.
found this problem by using mobile xt, nuvi 765t and mapsource.

Maybe you can posts some actual examples in the feedback section, and others can tell you what is happening, and correct the errors, if any.
