How about Australian Version? Can I convert to Sing/Mal version?
Garmin nuvi 255w + MFM110117 = THE BEST GPS EVER!!! = YOU WILL NEVER EVER GET LOST (I hope so) :P

Hi all,
Managed to convert my S3 205W to 255W but I saw a message "can't unlock map" I believe this is for base map that I'm having.

Is there a way to unlock the map?

Most probably its not the base map... Is there any other map file inside ur garmin?? Maybe u could double check.

I managed to flash my 255W to malsing firmware 2.7. Any method to upgrade it to 2.8?
I have tried to download the 2.8 version from Garmin sg and install it, but I couldn't get my firmware up to 2.8.

My HWID is 827, this is before flashing. But after flashed it to 2.7, it's become 930. I am curious why this happen since PeterK mentioned in his instruction where 255W with S4 board flash would not change the HWID.

Anyway, I am able to see LA and JCV now, but just want to know how to upgrade 2.7 to 2.8 for S4 board

Since you are able to flash 2.70 RGN, maybe you can try flashing with 2.80 RGN too.
