I doubt Garmin will bother to listen to your complaint. This "decluttering" of POIs started way back when the 2xx and 7xx series were introduced, and Garmin insisted it was an improvement. There are other complaints. All fall on deaf ears.

If you still wish to email Garmin, please check first if you face the same problem using official Garmin map. Then make the complaint with reference to official Garmin map. If you report a problem when using unofficial map, I believe your email goes straight to the dustbin.

I think in any case, we should still send the feedback to Garmin, and I have sent the feedback to Garmin. Otherwise, Garmin will then say "Why didn"t you tell us". And yes, I was using the Garmin maps packaged with the device.

RM999 + RM88 = RM1087 for Standard unit + AC Charger, friction mount + carrying case

Good price... =P~

Bph Zamad

After looking carefully at the advertisement, it does not indicate that the set they sell is the local AECO set, it could well be an AP set....

I notice they just give you "Malsingmaps (Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei) Free Version" - anybody can delete all other files and load in the Malsing maps which may not necessary be 2009.30 or 2009.40 etc versions with local JV capability leh...

Suggest better you check before buying...... unless you do not mind.. :prayer:

Regards

nuvi 1460 should be quite safe. This model is currently available in SG/MY (and maybe Thai) only.

Need help on nuvi 1460

Postby alpago » Fri Jan 22, 2010 10:58 am

Hi Guys,

I got a few question on nuvi 1460.

1. My previous nuvi 205w the gmapsupp.img is created on /garmin directory, however on 1460 when I create it on that directory
I can't see the map. I notice there's one directory /map, when I create it there, I can see the map.

2. In 205w , when i go to setting and map info, I can check/uncheck the box but in 1460 I can't uncheck the malfree ( I can see it but it will dimm) but I can check/uncheck the malsing?

Appreciate if somebody can help me?
Thanks in advance
