Very small museum, one round and you're done there

What sort of exhibit is displayed there?

Bryde's Whale Skeleton Main Attraction At Putrajaya Museum Of Nature
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- The skeleton of a Bryde's whale found washed ashore in Tanjung Aru, Labuan on Feb 2, 2005, is the main attraction at the Putrajaya Museum of Nature, which will open its doors to the public from next month.
The 40-feet skeleton is among 54 mammal species including the cheetah, rhinoceros and elephant, whether preserved and in the form of fossils, to be showcased for six months at the Malaysian Mammals Exhibition at the museum starting Feb 1.
"The public is encouraged to visit to the exhibition as this is their opportunity to learn and take a closer look at some rare species of mammals," Malaysia Museum Department Datuk Ibrahim Ismail told Bernama on Friday.
Bryde's whales, scientifically known as "balaenoptera edeni" and weighing less than 25 tonnes, are considered small compared to other whales. They prefer tropical and temperate waters over the polar seas that other whales frequent.
"If the response is encouraging, the exhibition will be extended and value added," said Ibrahim.
The museum, located at the Diplomatic Precinct, Putrajaya, will be officially opened to the public on Feb 1, in conjunction with Federal Territories Day.
The setting up of the museum is one of the government's efforts to collect, facilitate documentation and exhibit natural treasures like the flora and fauna, rocks, minerals and fossils found in the country for the benefit of the people, locally and abroad.
The museum will open from 9am to 5pm daily.

It's a new museum, with very little items to display. So don't expect much. I did saw a huge croc still not on display though. Wrap in a piece of cloth at the basement. Bet more animals will be on display later as the second floor is yet to be accesed by public. It's free btw for the time being.
