I had nuvi 205, it said made in Taiwan, but the unit had Malay.Thai etc languages, and with the Garmin Malaysia Map install, I had never have a chance to use the WebUpdate, I am still stuck in the original FW version, which is 2.10 :cry:

the Taiwan link is 205W, can I use that?? Can seems to find 205 FW anywhere, anyone have an idea? :-?

Bro Susuman, made in Taiwan does not necessarily mean it has Taiwan firmware. Before updating firmware, you need to know which firmware localization Nuvi is running. Have you verified at Nuvi's About page, does the Software version state any localization? You can also open ..\Garmin\Garmindevice.xml using a web browser and look at the first line and look for HWID, ie. as below example (HWID is 932 which is Taiwan):

not new software, go to this thread below and look for the keyboard layout you like and replace the .gtt file in your device. have fun.

You're welcome Susuman, actually latest Sing/Mal firmware for Nuvi205 is v2.70, but I think due to cache issues, Garmin Sg site will sometimes display older firmware. Pls get latest 2.70 firmware directly from this Garmin site: http://download.garmin.com/sg/download/ ... G_v270.exe

Hi , i just download latest Sing/Mal firmware v2.70 for Nuvi205 but original map had gone and everytime on the device will prompt Can't unlock the maps.
