Have actually purchase the software, I'm not sure whether the trial version allows pairing with any BT receiver. :-k

If you're using garmin 10x, it should work fine. not considered trial version but fully working instead.

That applies for GMXT only. GMPC was never meant for free use with Garmin's receiver unlike GMXT.

¹Garmin Mobile PC with GPS 10x product may only be used with the included GPS 10x sensor. Please purchase a Garmin Mobile PC (software only version) for each additional sensor you own.

Postby edchuang (retired) » Fri Mar 06, 2009 3:08 pm

So GMPC is a different product all together from nRoute?

For people who want to test your PDA GPS to become Bluetooth GPS, can try this software called GPS2Blue.
Try google it, I got it 3 years back but works like a charm. More over, it's free.

Let me get this straight, you can only use GMPC for 1 licensed garmin 10x only?
They said can use internal laptop integrated GPS but can other BT GPS be used?

Error Messages

Postby aikliang » Thu Sep 24, 2009 6:27 pm

Can I check with anyone here if they have come across this error message before

"Assert failed at Uni_CNVT.c: 326 in PocketNav with error 0"

What happened was I had Garmin Mobile PC installed into my HP Mini netbook. I had not been using the netbook for some time and decided to update with the latest MFM maps. When I switch on the program, I get the error message.

I then un-install the software with an un-installer program, also un-installing mapsource and all other installers such as the maps installer. I then downloaded the latest version from Garmin and re-install everything again. The 1st time it was OK where I had to enter the necessary codes but after re-starting again, I get the error message again.

I have checked other forums (in here and other forums on the internet) and apparently the error is something to do with the language settings. But it does not say how to correct the error.

Appreciate any help on this.
