Garmin nüvi 3790

Just to get some advice from all the master.
I have check the web that recently this 3790 is selling at $970. However they don't have shop. It is an online company. My worried is if the unit is defective, i will have problem in looking for them for the service in the future . The others shop in Low Yat manage to get the best price at RM1090. Any good recommendation from all the masters ?

I have a Nuvi 2360 which has the SPEAK COMMAND function but when I tell nüvi "Find Address", the screen will display that it can't work in SINGAPORE.

You guys have this problem ?

Bro treochew, make sure it is a localized set if you want to have a functional Junction View.

As for support, Garmin should have international warranty and in this region, support comes from Taiwan.
Advantage of buying from a authorized reseller, you can visit shop for any problems, else got to default to Taiwan for problems.

To save cost, you can consider the lower cost 2xxx series, similar to 3790 in size but less resolution screen and no 3D

Never experience this problem using my 3790T with either NavTeq / MFM / MSM / Jerome map.

try the older MFM map verson 110321 or 110328 and see if same problem ...

Well, it has a "V" denoting its video & MP3 playback features which, I will not wish to have despite some may prefer to have "as much functioning thru one single unit", it is certainly small for entertainment pleasure.

I know it for I have the 1490TV. Besides, one will still prefer to position it at a reasonable distance like 60 cm from your viewpoint when seated and even a 5" screen is still small 2B honest.

This is some Screenshot from My nuvi 3790t . The Screenshot show that somethings wrong with the latest map MFM-Garmin update. Both garmin map are create with the same setting. But, after using the latest map, all the map come out with the left side map. I already check everythings and using the same way to Install Garmin Mapsource. Please help.

Did you try to exclude polygone?

Authenticated bro wilsonlee03 findings with my 3790T .... as bro ongcc mentions, during map generation, please select "exclude polygons" and all road shows
