Have been playing with my nüvi 205W tonight...

An area of 480 x 212 pixels is allocated for splash screen...

Maybe can use this size for wide screen version...

Nuvi "Spash" Screen optimum JPEG Picture size

For 3.5" Models : 320 x 240 pixels

For 4.3" Models : 480 x 272 pixels

No no no... For Nuvi 205W, screen resolution is 480 x 272 pixels... But only 480 x 212 pixels is allocated for splash screen... Below that will be those copywrite message from the maps...

Anything bigger than 480 x 212 pixels can still be displayed... But will be auto scale down to fit into 480 x 212 pixels... :-#
