I'm new user for 1450. Currently I've problem in putting multi-maps into the device, eg MFM and MSM. It does not have the option to let me choose the map source. Currently only can see MFM which i renamed to gmapprom.img. Anyone know is there any workaround for this?

Leave preloaded maps in Main Memory alone

Additional maps, put in SD card/map.
Map name can be any name you desire.

The GPS is not designed to work with more than 1 detailed map of the same geographical area no matter what you name them. Just not possible - not work-arounds.

Thanks for your advice. Finally i can see my maps now! i just leave the original map, and copy another two different maps into SD card/map and SD card/garmin.

btw, i've a map with junction view, but i could not see the junction view during navigation. don't know is that caused by wrong jcv file naming, or i put in wrong directory? i was using US device in m'sia

MFM Map does not contain workable JCV code in its map
Only localized Nuvi contains firmware to make JCV work.

Don't worry mate, you're not the 1st to ask that. I asked that too. Sad that the junction view doesn't work. Could have bought a model which needn't have the junction view feature then.

I just bought a US set 1450 and attempted to install additional map on SD card, but it does not show up on Settings>Maps>Info.
Have already let the gps get a first signal lock on.

Tried every combination of folders and filename as below, and even tried change the case of the letters.
Please assist and let me know if I have done any step wrongly. Thank you.

SD Card\Garmin\gmapsupp.img
SD Card\Garmin\MFM.img
SD Card\Map\gmapsupp.img
SD Card\Map\MFM.img

Bro ghoe85,
:welcome: to MFM :welcome:

To your question putting MFM map file into 1st, 3rd or 4th option as your earlier post is correct

Either you have a corrupted map file, in this case re-download and regenerate a fresh map file via our installer or you may have a bad SD card / contact ( use another SD card )

In the later case, can your Nuvi read the SD card at all ?
