MFM-Garmin Map (cGPSmapper) Installation Step-by-Step Guide

I follow the guide and have some question need to seek advise.
I have both MFM 2012.10 and MFM weekly maps installed in my 765 GPS.

I used the self generate program and mapsource to create the MFM gmapsupp.img weekly map and both does not have the HDB polygon display on my gps.
But 2012.10 map was nicely display with the polygon.

Did I miss out any steps?

I installed the lastest map, 120430, result the same.
Nobody no the root cause?

Known issue. One is compiled using third party compilor vs one using Garmin compilor.

So now I know that when loaded with MFM weekly map, I will not see the HDB Polygon and the road name as what have displayed in MFM 2012.10. Thanks.

Go to first page of this thread and read the instructions.
When you have digested the information, go to our download thread via this link :
viewtopic.php?p=123970#p123970

Apply what you have read to generate the map file gmapsupp.img and put it into SD card/garmin

During generation of map, suggest you select remove polygons as your Nuvi 200 lack the resources/memory to load the full map.

I install the latest map to my friend 255 model.
His has no problem displaying the polygon and the road name.
But when installed into my 765, I can't see them.
So it may not be the compiler issue.
Don't tell me I need to replace my old 765 with a new model. sigh....

Anyone using 765 can confirm this?

Check with all guru's here on my Garmin 255W.

First,
I follow the step of how to install MFM-Garmin NT 2012.10 into my device. After completed, There was an error said "Map Can't Unlock". So no choice, I have installed MFM-Garmin 120507 and overwrite "gmapsupp.img", it success. There is a question whereby need to know, for the junction view (JVC Files) in JVC Folder which obtain from previous MFM-Garmin NT 2012.10 installation. Can be use or I need to remove it?

Second,
I have install MFM-Garmin 120507 into my device. I have rename it as gmapprom.img. Do I still need to create gmapprom.unl in notepad?

i'm new here. i'm using nuvi1100 bought from usa. i just sent to shop to get malaysia map last 2 yrs. do anybody know how to update map? or install new map in my garmin?
