Is this because the device has already loaded with the official garmin map? I have tried to search for gmapsupp.img in the device by connecting to my pc but i still cant find it and delete the file. Is this something to do with the garmin 1460 ? I have tried to update my bro's nuvi 250 with malfreemaps and it does loaded in his device. I'm wondering is it because garmin 1460 has gmapsupp.img with different name or file types that's why i cant search for it in my device. Anyone can help me to solve my problem cause the official map is 2009 ver which is quite outdate and i hope to update my device to the latest maps. Thanks for answering my questions.
The file format for the newer Nuvis such as the 1250, 1350 1460 etc are different from the earlier version.
You need to create a new folder X:\Map if it does not exist.
With the MFM generated gmapsup.img, goes into that folder. Unlike the earlier nuvi where you are restricted to specific file names, on the 1460 you can name it anyway you want, such as MFM100405.img, or bigtits.img
You can put as many maps as your memory allows you such as the Indonesia map from Navigasi.net.id.
