MFM-Garmin 091026 Feedback

Hi...I am a newbie and have just bought a nuvi 255W.

After successfully downloading the latest 091026 mapset and opening-up Mapsource, I noticed that the "Include route calculation data" is greyed out whereby I cannot tick the box.

How do you go about to "un-grey" the box so that I can tick it?

Don't worry about it. Continue to upload your map into your Nuvi 255W. Else, use the MFM map generator that is activated at the end of the installation process.

Just to report that I have uploaded the map into my Nuvi 255W and tested it a couple of hours ago. Worked like a charm. Thanks again.

I do suggest you read my post again. This time very carefully and with an open mind. You will find that I was adding another update of my earlier tests on GMXT and Nuvi 255 which I posted earlier, this time with test results on my 360.

I would like to think that I was the first to notice Bro Antyong's notice that the GMXT problem is unresolved as I posted on Page 3 of this thread.

I am also very well aware of Bro Antyong's response to my earlier post on GMXT POI search problem somewhere on Page 5 of this thread.

My observations is that so far all the POI search problems seems to be confined to GMXT. I am now updating to say that the POI problem is also afflicting Nuvi 360 which is new. I do not believe anyone has posted any problems on other models especially the 360.

By posting the problem on the 360, I had hoped that this will help the admin in their diagnosis.

I hope the problem resolution will not be just for GMXT but also 360.

i realised that my seller only sent me the file called gmapsupp.img and asked me to replace it in my gps
why is it different that what is taught here?

There are a few methods to generate GMAPSUPP.IMG which is basically Garmin detailed map for device use. If you already have GMAPSUPP.IMG, just place it in \Garmin folder of Nuvi or Nuvi's data card. Take care not to replace any IMG files here, unless you need to replace the previous map with another one.

I found out that the postal code searching function is not available for recent MFM Garmin map. Whenever i tried to search with postal code in S'pore, it return zero result. Anybody experience the same with me? Any way to solve this?
