Help! Papago 8.5 in car GPS module

Postby CKKwan » Mon May 20, 2013 3:46 pm

Dear All,

I have installed Pioneer 8450BT with a GPS module running Papago 8.5x.

The problem is that, it is lag by almost 8 ~ 10s.

I think it is mainly because of the GPS module is too slow.

May I know if there is any good GPS module which is able to support Papago 8.5 without lag (maybe 1 ~ 2 sec is fine)?

TIA

Thanks for the reply, but it has nothing to do with the GPS signal. The Signal is quite strong, and able to lock in fast.

Problem is that the GPS Module is very slow.

Example, after I turn a corner, the Car position is turned (GPS able to see that), but then the map will takes at least 5 ~ 6 seconds to completely turn.

Another example, after I passed a junction, the GPS knows that, and give instruction for the next junction, but the map is not updated until 7 ~ 8 seconds later.

I have swapped a few GPS receivers with the supplier. Some are quite fast (less then 3 seconds), but have some compatibility issue (on the touch screen) with the Pioneer HU.

That is why I need help :(
