Welcome to Malaysia. Will you be here for long, or for a short contract period (eg. 1 year)? Which state/town will you be relocating to?

By the look of your nickname, you are from Kentucky?

Yeah, it may sound "too good to be true", but once you are here, you may become hooked to our community and you may start to be contributing tracklogs and data to build up our maps too!! :) Our maps are free because of small (and some not-so-small) tracklog, POI & other mapping effort contributions by many many people in this community.

FrancisTLim.

Convert Nuvi 205W to see Junction View

Postby sobamy » Tue May 11, 2010 10:11 pm

Can our Sifus comment on this. Is it true that Nuvi 205W and 255W can be converted/tweaked to see Junction View?

I read it in this website:

http://nuvi255wfirmware.blogspot.com/se ... ion%20view

An extract from this website:

"Convert 205W to see JV. Someone has managed to get the JV / Lane Assist feature to work in 205w.
The only difference is that you have an additional step to downgrade the 205W firmware to the US v2.80 before upgrading to the SG/MY version.
The way to downgrade the firmware is the same as how you change the firmware as shown in the earlier posts."

Already discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3497&start=0&hilit=firmware

BTW, the answer is yes.

old post. but correct me if i'm wrong, you can delete the mazda logo when u log on to your nuvi using computer... it's jus a normal JPEG file. u can also upload your own photos as a start up picture

Have you completed the process where you select your country/location.

asking a basic question - each time i power up, i've got to enter country as singapore b4 i use the GPS. is there any way to set sgp as default so that i can skip this step?

Tried the 5.3 for a short while in my 205W. The satellite lock problem seemed to be the same so downgraded the software back to 5.0. Now I can get 11 satellites.

can i know how u find out how many satellites you are locked on to?
