To transfer Waypoints, Tracks and Routes between device and PC, you need to use Mapsource. You need to connect device to PC via Activesync (not in USB Mass Storage mode). Then only Mapsource will be able to detect GMXT for receiving/sending data. If Mapsource still do not detect GMXT, you need to start GMXT in device first.

TS was looking for a way to receive tracklog from GMXT Windows Mobile to PC. While the above method or similarly connecting as USB Mass Storage can be used to send data from Mapsource, it does not work correctly* for receiving data from device.
* Mapsource will only read GPX from device/data card, and since GMXT WM cannot export GPX, data in GARMIN_WPT.NVM (My Locations items), GARMIN_ATRK.NVM (active tracklog), GARMIN_STRK.NVM (saved tracklogs), etc. will not be transfered to Mapsource.

silly me forgot that track logs is stored on the phone itself not on the sd card.....

Bro dvpro, just to clarify something here, not sure it is because I have both mapsource and gpmc installed on the same lappy or because of some settings.
At home, I usually update my mapsets and download to back-up my waypoints, routes and track-logs on my netbook. Both GPMC and Mapsource is installed on the netbook. What I do is just to hook up my wm5 pda using usb and when I want to retrieve or send data, mapsource is able to identify the gmxt (both device and sd card) and GPMC. No need to activesync. In fact I don't have activesync installed on my netbook at all.
I will try with my desktop later. Only mapsource installed to see if there is any difference....
