The top level of directory when a drive is explored. Ie. \Garmin folder is at root directory.

So it appears that there's no \debug folder in your Nuvi. Hence, if the recording was made earlier, it would've been saved under \Garmin\Logs folder. What is the contents of that folder, can you post the screengrab here?

Last time when I didn't know "gps.bin" stored inside the DEBUG folder, I use "Search..." to get it
I click on "My computer" > move cursor to Garmin drive and right click > click "Search..." > type in "gps.bin" > click OK
then my computer will help me to get the "gps.bin" which located inside "Debug folder" > "yyyymmdd_hhmmss" folder,
then I just know where the gps.bin is.

Please let your computer help you to get the file.

Maybe your DEBUG folder is a hidden directory. If so, try typing F:\DEBUG to access (F: is the drive letter in the screenshot above; use the appropriate drive letter at the time your Garmin is connected to the PC as it may change from time to time)...

guys, sorry if this was a repeated question, but what is the added advantage of doing this? Although this is interesting to know there's an easter egg to enable the recording but my 205W can actually record this by default coz i can see the tracks after importing from mapsource and my 205w also can display my tracks (in blue track lines in map) after I have enabled showing the trip log in the 205w?

was actually trying to search ways to import these track logs that i have traveled using my XT, but bump into this threads instead, am still trying to find out for answers for my XT, so if you guys can point me to right direction, would be much appreciated ;)

btw great forum here!

This hidden feature enables the 1 second interval tracking. The tracklog feature you enabled from the Settings menu is not in 1 sec interval.

shakyhand wrote:Hi all,

I'm having problem finding debug folder and gps.bin. I'm using Nuvi 205W ver 6.10. Even though I search all my garmin files, can't find any of them. Only can find logs folder with nav.bin and traffic.bin

Sifus please help... [-o<

The Debug Folder only exists in the Nuvi 1xxx series in the root directory along with \Garmin, \GPX, \POI and a whole lot of other folders. You will not find a Debug folder in your Nuvi 205W unless you have saved a track log and meets the conditions as mentioned HERE.

That was the first thing I do... maybe should let it be for a couple of days before I look at it again... :ko:
