moeyhc wrote:The reason I bought the Fenix TK21 is the 18650 battery. They are cheap and easy to buy. Worst case you tear up a notebook battery pack and you'll find them inside. Just remove the over discharge protection module from the original battery and install it to the new battery before using. These Li-Ion are hardy and retain their charges for >6 months (charge to 4.2V and still 4.0V after 6 months - inside my car). Try to do that with CR125, AA or AAA... . Hope this helps... cheers!

Bro moey, there is no Fenix Tk21, leh. Are you referring to the TA21, which can run on either 2 x CR123 or 1 x 18650 batteries? The only other Fenix flashlights that use 18650 batteries are the TK30 (1 x 18650 or 2 with extension tube) and the TK11 R2, which I own one. Can't agree with you more on the usefulness of the 18650 battery though. The 18650 battery gives the best run time among all the sizes of battery.

On the same subject of 18650 battery, this Olight M21 Warrior throw out hell alot of light. 500 lumen at 1.5 hours, 80 lumen at 8 hours and 20 lumen at 30 hours on just 1 x 18650 battery. Thinking of getting it. :-k
