Just joined after downloading the free Malaysia map into the SDcard, vastly different and impressionally better than the "other one". Hope to learn more here as I'm only a casual Garmin user, not really into the science of it all.

Hello bro and sis from MFM... A newbie here... heard about MFM from a GPS dealer at lowyat, and I find this site is better than others Malaysian map source (even have thailand and indonesia map, how great!!!)

Hope can learn many things from u guys. Basically, i from KL, but recently work at Alor Setar, Kedah. Do MFM have any gathering???

BTW, just now i'm using Garmin XT on Nokia 5800XM. But recently, i interested to buy a GPS gadget, hope bro and sis can guide me. Dealer at lowyat suggest me Go Zee that use Papago map format, rather than garmin.

Less but not least, hopefully i will learn a lot here and can help to contribute in mapping here. I'm a person that interest to find a new shortcut, and alternative way that we can avoid toll. Hahaha. Thank you

p/s: to long meh??

Hello everyone!

This is my first post here although I've been visiting MFM (and downloading your maps! ) as a guest since about 6 months ago. I must say that I'm very much impressed with the amount of details and quality of the maps & custom POI contributed by the MFM community. Thanks to all of you at MFM that made this possible.

It all started when I came across this website when I was looking around for some free Garmin maps for my Samsung Omnia II. I was just trying the Omnia II GPS capability for fun but I soon found out that GPS navigation plus your maps came in very handy because I could find unfamiliar places very easily. Since you guys update your maps regularly, even new roads are taken into account during route calculation. Yeah sure, the maps sometimes do lead me to dead ends or impassable terrain at times, but hey, it can be fixed, rite? :tease:

Now I've become so reliant on GPS navigation, I've decided to buy a dedicated Garmin unit. Got my Nuvi 1460 just yesterday and the first thing I did when I got home was to install MFM maps!

Keep up the good work MFM and thanks once again for all your efforts.

Cheers,
