MFM-Garmin Map (cGPSmapper) Installation Step-by-Step Guide

Just installed MFM 100329 and custom icon looks fine. Try uninstalling first before reinstalling (C:\Garmin\Malfreemaps\unins000.exe).

I normally install the latest maps with the above selection, but the funny parts is, I can't get "all" the custom icons show in the above picture. Such as, I only see a "white dot" or "white box" on the screen. ie.: Shell Logo wasn't show, it show the "white box" there.

Wonder what wrong is it.

I screen capture the same place as the example area, my icons wasn't show as it is on mapsource, but it show in GMXT.

Hi shawchyn, are windows 7 ? If yes, you need upgrade to 6.15.7.

I use Windows 7 and Vista Professional, both are the same problem. Will try to upgrade to V.6.15.7 tonite and try.

did't show all the country....???? just empty...

i try download test ,still same problem search by addresss problem.

just completed installing version 100329a, however, when switched on device and browsed to map list, none appeared
Noticed that I missed out file gmapsupp.sum. Please guide me how to solve this Thanks for your help, I'm just new to Garmin Nuvi

p/s: my device is 255W with preloaded mfm version 100316 (beside existing OEM malsingmaps & CityNav)

SUM (checksum) files are not essential, and Nuvi will generate it periodically. As for the map files, I notice there's GMAPOEM.IMG in there as well. Although I'm not sure what it contains, it does look like another version of MFM map, so if my assumption is correct, this would result in a map conflict. Therefore, rename GMAPOEM.IMG to another name (ie. GMAPOEMx.IMG, etc.), so that Nuvi will not access it when booting up, and see whether that helps.

Sifu dvpro, your suggestion did work very2 much GMAPOEM.img was actually MFM 100316(confirmed!). Though, should I just remove the old MFM version, or just let it intact? (If 100329 superseded 100316, then I personally feel no need to maintain former one). How to remove old version sifu
