Is Kulai now known as Kulaijaya? Wonder why the change? Does not sound special? Kulai is more original and traditional. Isn't there enough jaya around - Petaling Jaya, Permas Jaya, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and whatever jaya.

Sure? I haven't see the signage change yet, it still 'Kulai' for the moment.
I think gonna ask the MPKU for confirmation.

So, Kulaijaya is the district, but Kulai town, the capital is still known as (Bandar) Kulai.

Last week went to Simpang Renggam & see the PLUS Hiway Exit signboard change already to Kulaijaya...

Kulai was formerly administered by a district council (Majlis Daerah) and change to municipal (Majlis Perbandaran) in 2008. Name was then changed from Kulai to Kulaijaya. Previously, when under district council, it also covers areas such as ulu choh, which the present district office still covers, but the municipal now covers only the 4 sub-district of Senai, Sedenak, Bukit Batu, Kulai (including Bandar Kulai).

New housing estate in kulaijaya. not sure of the name but if follow asiatic/indahpura naming convention, should be same as road name i.e. taman sena
