Bro..
When you buy, you should ask the seller to install everything that you need for a GPS to work in Malaysia.
We dun discuss crack software here..

However, there are several files in the download. There is a cfg82a4.cfg, OS82a4.img, boot82a4.bld, and a btl82a4.bld file. Do I just dump them in the root of the SD card and start up the unit?

How can I back up the existing firmware before I attempt to update it?

download and copy the system files into ur memory card (2gb or lower GB) then restart ur GPS wil do and follow the instruction. it will ask you to touch the calibration.

Hi all I'm newbee here. I got problem with bricking my china GPS by YF international, I accident when I try rename file os82c.img became os82a4.img and insert the sdcard that containing that file cause bricking my gps. @ all that have firmware files (cfg82a4.cfg, OS82a4.img, boot82a4.bld, and a btl82a4.bld) please share to me, I'm very very need thats file.

Do you try to put your GPSr under the clear sky for the "first" log on in Malaysia. You need to wait a bit longer to get the first lock.
