green newbie in the world of GPS...

hi there...
juz bought my papago x5 last week, a day after lost my way in KL hehehe ( its about time) .. don ave a single clue bout how to download the latest map but the seller said that my Gps was arleady installed with the latest map..april 2010.. anyway ope to be by guided by all the sifus' here.. cheers ^^,

Yup your seller right.. the our papago latest map was 15 April..

currently our senior mapper still in hardwork to create more better map :D

the fast update our garmin map at every weeks is fixed for new rural area & poi only..
not for major road that had covered...
& don't worry, you still not lost with our latest April map.. :-'

Hi all the sifus in MFM, I am a newbie member.
Have lot to learn from you GURUS!

I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 1250 and found that the original map in my home town, BM is full of errors, if not life-threatening.(this morning, my Garmin Nuvi 1250 had led me to a dead-end that is leading to a rail-track in Berapit, BM.) :thumbsdown:

Plan to trash the silly Garmin maps in my 1250 and update to Malfreemaps.

Hope to contribute like you guys.
