Try uninstalling all maps and mapsource software. Then delete all registry entries relating to Garmin. Lastly delete any folders left by Garmin.

Re-install mapsource, maps and try again...

I revert back to 6.13.7 but problem remain. My error code is 1 but not 3. Another finding is it didn't happen on MSM only MFM... :-?

It happens in 13.7 as well. I have mentioned this previously in the MFM annoucement thread.

The following test was carried on 13.7:

I have noticed with MFM that searches below 128km radius is fine. It will not give out error, at least on v1.24. However, the moment it extends 128km and beyond, you'd get error code 1. :ko:

On MSM, search stops at 128km and will not extend beyond. The magnifying glass will continue turning but search will no longer go on. #-o

I have also tried on navigasi v0.61, searching for a point in Bengkulu from Bandar Lampung. The point is about 384km from Bandar Lampung and it was found. navigasi has no limitation on extent of search, even extending and continuing search beyond 1000km.

Will perform same test on 14.1 and report.

Re: Mapsource with V1.24 map

Last time, I got error when using MapSource 6141 on a Win2k machine (1GB RAM). However, at home it's ok when using MapSource 6141 on a WinXP SP2 machine (2GB RAM). Just a rough guess on the cause: not enough memory starting from V1.24 map due to more details being put into it?

However MapSource 6137 is working fine on both the machines, maybe because the rendering in MapSource 6137 is not anti-aliased (smooth) unlike MapSource 6141.

.GPI files are Garmin "Points of Interest" database
.GBD files are Garmin Mapsource data files

Under which menu can I select to save a waypoint file into Gpi format in Mapsource?

Mine doesn't have an option to save in Gpi.

Fyi, GPI format file is generated by Garmin POI loader program. :D
