Your installation looks ok to me.
However, I notice that your "map scale" is zoomed out too much. See the figure "1500mi"? Try to zoom in (a lot), search for a location (so that your pointer is not too far from your map location or pointing at a place without map) and I believe you'll be able to view your map.

Hi winwintoto1234,
I think is not the map scale problem... did you noticed my maps navigator area was blank. It don't show any maps there even i can see the map in the map product manager...
any idea how to load the maps to my map source? Pls help me...
Thanks.

cashlam,

If you "mouse over" the blank space in Mapsource, you can see the coordinates at the bottom area. If you are around Malaysia it should N1-N5 and E100-E120.

What winwintoto1234 is trying to say is you might be zoomed into another area (like Indian Ocean or Atlantic Ocean) which MfM of course does not cover.

Zoom out (using the Minus button) as much as you can, to see whether you can spot our area (Mal/Sin/Thai/Bru) on the far right of the MapSource screen.

Hi tympg,
I've try to zoom in & out... still the same result...
My Map source version is 6.16.2... The map that i download is MFM-Garmin-100712a.exe
Does this compatible to use together?
As i know, if the maps is successful load, then the map name will display on left side navigator, right?
I wonder is it i need a unlock code for the maps? Please advice & help...

Dear All Expert,
I'm newbie here... I've read through your sharing on installation method of mapsource and MFM maps. I've follow all the step, so i manage to install the mapsource software. also i had update to the latest version mapsource from garmin web.
my problem is, after i have downloaded the latest MFM map [MFM-Garmin-100712a.exe] and install it... no maps was display at my mapsource software. anything goes wrong? I've also try to Zoom in Zoom out to search for the maps... i think the map name should load and display at the left side navigator, right?
i wonder is it the mapsource version & msm map not compatible?
i'm using Mapsource ver 6.16.2, MSM map is the latest [MFM-Garmin-100712a.exe].

please help.... :ko: :frus:  :prayer:

Thanks.

Hi,
My Map tools is grey off. i can't use it. Beside, your screen show the drop down box with maps name, but mine don't. Is it anything wrong with my map source?

Dear Regional Mapper or any Sifu,
Finally i was successful install the map source with the MFM maps. i had upload all the maps to my Nuvi 205. I've test it on the road everything fine but i lost the navigator display on the top left corner when come to the turn. Normally when we need to make a turn, the gps unit will remind us how many kilometer we need to turn.
this is happen after i upload the maps to my nuvi... i did overwrite the [gmapsupp.img] file as well to my Nuvi...
may i know how can i solve this issue? and may i know what is gmapsupp.img file use for?

thanks...

gmapsupp.img file is the map file for GPS device. You can not change the file name. It have to be gmapsupp.img file.
It will overwrite the old gmapsupp file.
