Hi,
I am novice in GPS, just received my new [refurbished] Garmin 255W from Amazon on 10/8/2010. Will try to load-in the SG/MY maps over the next few days. Hope not to encounter major difficulties.

Cheers to all !!

Not related to duke17. Why you ask ?

Managed to load in the SG/MY maps onto my gps on 12/8/2010. Now try to familiarize the operation, so can keep eyes on the road during driving.

Thanks for the advise not to operate while driving and listen to voice prompt.
After 2 days dry-run at home, brought the gps for trial run on SG roads. Sometime, our human navigation and gps navigation are not the same. Purposely took the usual route, and the gps will recalculate in a few secs.
However, when driving in MY roads, will have to fully rely on the gps for navigation. There is a saying : trust your instrument :D

Good day to all !!
