How about standardizing the naming of place and POI... E.g. Kampung / Kampong / Kg. / Kpg... These fullname or abbrivatives are all over the maps, and when u try search "Kampung Abdullah" using "Kg or Kpg" you will not Able to find the location. So this may cause some confusion and inefficient in GPS assisting trip.

Just my 2 cents... :peace:

I got a suggestion, can we collects the points that always happen accident or any any dangerous road and make it like speed trap alert. So our gpsr member can safely driving on the road. The place like goverment said as "black point", we can see in the newspaper near "hari raya or chinese new year" but if we can collect more local dangerous point from members, i think that may be very great. Thank you

1. I agree that we should standardise naming of POIs, either in full (e.g. Kampung) or in abbreviation (ie Kg.). The former will definitely be longer if another noun like 'Sungai' makes up the name.

2. Encourage contributers to fill up the 'Comment' field with additional information such as phone number, village/town when submitting their POIs.

3. The spelling of the roads/POI needs to be checked. Some were truncated, while others were mis-spelt. If you use the 'Find Places' in Mapsource (I assume its similar in the GPSr), you'll probably won't find what you're looking for.

is it possible , to give a rating in stars for loaded POI's ? say for makan places, there would be a 1-5 star ratings ? i've stumbled across alot of pretty junky recomended places when i do a search of my surroundings so a rating would really help.

also is it possible to insert a small say text file along with each tag ? probably a menu and price list attachment each time u click on the POI ? or probably a food list recomendation or dishes that are highly recomended ?

sorry for the noob question and thanks in advance.
