My unit is 255W, US set, S4 board, I have flashed it to local firmware 2.7.
Actually page 31 is between my conversation and dvpro. Last time I have tried to update my firmware from 2.7 to 2.8 by using "093001000280.rgn", but failed to do that. If you read detail in page 31 and page 32, seem like we can't upgrade my firmware to 2.8 easily. But yesterday I see you have successfully do that, so I would like to know so detail from you.

You are successfully upgrade your firmware from 2.7 to 2.8 by using "093001000280.rgn" or "082700010280.rgn"?

Bro Clow8, I don't think his Nuvi is an S4 board. And as for an S4 board Nuvi255W/265W, I believe it's still not possible to update using normal RGN/firmware because it had been flashed previously with a firmware which was generated from several firmwares (some may call it cocktail firmware). Hence the only way to update is using similarly generated cocktail RGN.

hi, Ihad used the 093001000280.rgn and nuvi255W_SG_v280.exe. Both were in the same folder. Yes, mine is not an S4 board Nuvi. It seems that your S4 Board Nuvi need the special "cocktail" RGN. Good luck!

Hi all Gurus,

I noticed this guide is only apply for device with board s2/3 and s4...
and i have checked my device which is brought from US..but it figure out it's P1 which after my model Nuvi 255w at the configuration screen? it's really P1 or i looked at wrong place?

can someone expert advice how can i flash my device into MY FW?

Please could someone inform me because i've been reading that much that i am confused.
I own a 255W S2 P1 with europe maps and dutch language.
Does this upgrade works for european maps and will i be able to download the dutch or flemish language also ?
All the message i've been reading are talking about Us maps or Singapoor etc... but not about europe.

Any answer would be verry nice,
