noticed this particular poi had been quite static without much update. last time there used to be regular updates done in addition to weekly mfm map release.

ah well, good things don't last that long and kudos to our retired bros who took the trouble and effort to give us the pois updates.

Hi there,

I bought a new MPV recently which came with a Touch Screen player with built-in GPS capabilities. I also own a Nuvi 200 and am also running Garmin Mobile XT on my Samsung Omnia II. So I am kind of familiar with GPS capabilities and where everything is (thanks especially to this forum!!).

I just downloaded this custom POI to both my Nuvi 200 and also the MPV GPS. I notice the GPS in the MPV uses GMXT. I've successfully updated the map on the GMXT and added vehicles. But when I try to install this POI it does not seem to work. I've tried all 3 different file formats to no avail including deleting the files and recopying them again (in case there were issues in the file copying). When I browse the list of Custom POIs in the GMXT I do not see this POI listed. I've also verified that Custom POIs are enabled.

There are existing Custom POIs in the GMXT including some indicating speed traps but having a different filename. I did not delete any of them. Could this be the cause?
