Garmin Mobile XT – how to switch map?

Postby navilink » Thu Oct 07, 2010 4:26 pm

I have installed Garmin Mobile XT on my Nokia 5800, and I got 2 map files gmapsupp.img (MY) and gmapsupp2.img (AU). Currently using gmapsupp.img.
how do I switch to the other map (gmapsupp2.img)?

Do I need to be on location (AU) just to view the map???

Gmapsupp2.img is not supported in GMXT... only gmapsup2.img is. To view the map:

goto the Satellite icon and select>GPS info>New Location> physically scroll the screen to where your map is>OK.

Hope this helps.

I think i get it.. if i have gmapsupp.img and gmapsup2.img in my Garmin folder, means i just zoom into that 2 countries and i will see the DETAILED map right?

and for those countries that i dont have DETAILED map, when i zoom in i just see the BASE ap.. am i correct?

Can you show some screen-grabs of the Garmin in use?

Makes me thinking of replacing my aging Xperia X1 with an N8.
