It involved four sections - the JE from Prangin Road Ghaut to Jalan Tengku Kudin (4.14km), an unnamed stretch under the responsibility of the Malaysian Highway Authority from the elevated interchange of the Penang Bridge to Jalan Tengku Kudin (2.53km), Lebuh Sungai Nibong between the Penang Bridge elevated interchange and Jalan Tun Dr Awang (3.19km), and the Bayan Lepas Coastal Highway between Jalan Tun Dr Awang and the junction of Jalan Batu Maung/ Jalan Permatang Damar Laut (7.98km).
Lim said the expressway was linked, via Prangin Road Ghaut, to Jalan Dr Lim Chwee Leong, which is named after Dr Lim’s father.
