In Garmin Mobile XT, go to 'settings' / 'display' / 'backlight override', and select 'always on'

ok, i learnt something very valuable after this episode.
it caused me headache till nearly want to change new device...

the story like this:
i had my device formatted and just reinstalled garminXT
what i fail to remember to turn off is "Screen saver" option.
after turning off screen saver mode, it wont conflict with the garmin anymore.

since screen saver overtook the heirarchy, on how the screen behaves....but
i didnt know technically this is possible;

but nevermind that, after i turned off the screen saver , no more problem anymore.
back to normal

what a relief for me

Multiple maps

Postby psychedzephyr » Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:44 am

Hi guys,

I was wondering whether I can install more than 1 map (eg of Malaysia and Australia) for my Garmin mobile XT on my HTC Touch Pro. I asked the shopkeeper who I bought the phone from and he said that it will crash. Is there any truth to this?

Would appreciate the info. Thanks!

Yes you can install multiple maps by merging maps via Mapsource or GmapTool.

Info is available in our library section,.

No WinMo/Pocket PC/WinCE application will work on the WP7 platform. It's a completely new OS. There is a chance Garmin will come up with a GMXT-like WP7 app eventually.
