Hi Bros, Just bought the Nuvi 3790T SG/MY version. It comes with firmware 2.40. I installed the latest MFM Map into my Micro SD and my Lane Assist and Voice Navigation stops working. Without the MFM Map the Lane Assist and Voice Navigation works just fine. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

MFM does not have the Lane Assist feature.
You have to disable the preloaded MSM NT and Garmin NT map before using MFM map

i see the new set have the latest firmware. may i know where i can download the latest firmware. in garmin website didn't update anything.

Go visit http://www.garmin.com.sg, 3790 got software 2.50
Edited: Installed Malfree latest Dec map with polygon on, disable default NT map but 3d building file on, looks like all the road can display correctly. Wow someone pls counter check !!!

Just found out that if I whistle with high pitch the voice command menu will be activated

Thank you to all the info here I eventually bought me my first ever GPS unit, Nuvi 3790 SG/MY few days ago.... as my own Christmas & birthday present 
For first few days I just use the built-in MSM map to make sure that the unit is working properly... coz the shop said he's giving me 7 days warranty for one-to-one exchange if anything goes wrong. Then after going through all the pointers here on installing MFM maps, I eventually managed to use MFM map on an SD Card.
However, since I'm a first time user, definitely got few things to ask lah :
1. being a Mac user, initially I attempted to update software from v2.3 to v2.5 using webupdater.... unfortunately was not successful. only when i use PC was the update successful. however, when i checked the voice, those voices that 'speak street names' went missing. any way for me to recover those lost voices? 2. i also managed to convert the map using MapConverter in PC & then view in my Mac using BaseCamp. eventhough I already managed to install MFM maps inside the SD card using PC, but out of curiosity I tried to perform a 'Send to GPS' using BaseCamp on my Mac but was not successful. I wonder if it is ever possible to do so or am I doing something wrong
3. from what i read here, custom POI on the 3790 is still not possible, right?

I just updated my unit to software 2.50 today but the power button did not work (could not turn off / on / reset)
Otherwise, its working normally. Has anyone encountered this problem ?

Try press & hold the power for about 10s see anything happen
