Re: Papago X5 for Android phones
Theorectically it should - with a Sat lock. But I have never really observed it on my Desire - can't check it while I am driving. However when I was in a bus recently I did observe the speed change with very little lag.

Hi jchoong, I assume you are using the HTS desire? How fast and accurate is the GPS - satellite lock-in?
I'm deciding between Garmin Asus A10 (heard the GPS sat lock in is very fast, nav software also very good) and HTC Desire.
Re: Papago X5 for Android phones

My HTC Desire, on Papago, usually lock onto the Sats within 20 secs - depending on weather condition and tall buildings in the vicinity. If I am do a hard reset of my Desire, I would usually run either GPS Status or GPS Test (both free apps on Market) to get a fast first sat lock.
Isn't Garmin discontinuing the A10 as well as the other phone models?

Re: Papago X5 for Android phones
Thanks. How much does it cost to install the papago x5 software? I assume mfm will continue to support papago? (i tot I read that mfm will stop supporting papago, but I may be wrong).
I have been using gmxt+mfm on my nokia. really a great combi. So I hope to continue with mfm maps as I search for my next phone
Any great choice to recommend?
As for garmin & asus split, i've read about this, but no one is sure, really. Should I wait and see?

RM149 from M3Shoppe.com. Maybe they will have a discount/jpromotion for CNY.
