Just curious, is the MAP case sensitive? Does MFM come with POI? Do I have to download another POI files?

For Nuvi 1xxx, maps are not stored in the /Garmin Folder in the internal memory. They are stored in the hidden /.system folder. It is your OS that hides it so you need to unhide the folder though Folder Properties using Windows Explorer.

If you are storing in an SD card, you can either store in a /Garmin folder and the map name must then be gmapsupp.img and no other or in a /Map folder where you can name the map anyway you like in the format of xxxxx.img.

hi everyone

i'm currently considering this model and also the 255w.. personally i like the size of the 1250..but other than that i'm not sure if 1250 is better than 255w

can the owner of 1250 here give a feedback on this device

many thanks :tq:

Not apple to apple comparison.

1250 is 3.5" screen while 255W is 4.3" screen

1350 vs 255W or 1250 vs 255 is a more fair comparison

if former, I will opt for 1350 and if later, I will opt for 1250

if budget is high priority, then opt for 255W

thanks for the feedback :)

yeah i know its not apple 2 apple comparison since the 255w screen is much bigger
but i'm considering between this two model, since the price range doesn't differ much (1250 price much lower than 255w). its just that the feature inside will be much different or more or less the same?

so sifu silverbeauty which one will you recommend? oh yeah if using mfm maps which one is better? (i read somewhere that new model like 1350 cannot use custom icon on mfm maps, correct me if im wrong)
